Fast Diet: The Best Way To Make Up A Weight Loss Nutrition Program

No wonder the majority of the people in this country are over weight. Everyone is looking at these lose weight fast diets, and some say eat this while others say no eat this, no wonder we are all confused.

After reading the advertisements for the most popular diet plans one is left not knowing if carbs are good or should be avoided totally. Should we avoid all fats or just trans fat, and by the way I thought all vegetables were good for you, but not according to these fad diets. All of these things factor into what you should eat. Your best bet is to follow the weight loss food pyramid – it can answer all your questions about healthy eating.

Fruits and vegetables are the most important things for a healthy diet and weight loss. Fruits are the way to go when you’re craving something sweet, since they contain natural sugars and vitamins that make them healthier than sweet junk foods. Some fast diets say fruits have to many calories, but the body needs calories to survive, and calories from fruit if replacing bad calories are a good thing. Fruit also contains fiber that works with proteins by helping to break them down and it also keeps you feeling full. So, when you want to eat less, grab some fruit. Vegetables and fruits both are full of fiber, but vegetables tend not to have the extra calories and sugars that fruit has.

The next food group, meat is exploited by both low-carb and fat free lose weight fast diets. One says eat more and one says eat less. The fact is you need meat to build and maintain muscles. Meat contains a lot of protein, which is important for your body, but some meats can also contain a lot of fats. Ideally, you should eat fish because it’s low in fat and calories and still has a high amount of protein. If you’re not into fish, poultry and lean cut meat is the next best thing for your weight loss nutrition program.

Now lets take a look at the food group that has taken a beating thanks to some well known lose weight fast diet plans, and that’s carbs. Like the other food groups are bodies need carbs and here’s why. It is true that pasta and breads will turn to fat, when you eat more than the body needs, but that is true with any food group. The truth is Grains help the body maintain a higher energy level if the corect portions are eaten. Completely cutting carbohydrates out of your diet can lead to rapid weight gain if you ever decide to start eating them again.

Since the health of your bones is an important part of how you function, milk products should be a part of your diet. Cheeses and creams can be high in fat, so you should be cautious when shopping for those specifically. Just because a label say low fat, does not mean it is the best choice. Low fat only means there is less fat than normal, so don’t be fooled. Try skim milk instead. It’s a great source of calcium without the high amounts of fat and calories.

You should keep in mind that eating is a natural thing and refraining from eating is a bad idea, even if you’re just skipping out on one meal a day. For your body to be healthy it needs the nutrients provided by the foods we mention above, so don’t ever deprive you body of what it needs. I have provided you with a list of good foods, and if you take advantage of this information you should have no problem losing weight without turning to one of those lose weight fast diets that don’t work long term.

What Did You Eat Today?

How much time do you spend thinking about what to eat for the diet your on? I hear people everyday say I can’t eat this or that’s not on my diet.

Now don’t get me wrong there should be some thought given to what type of foods you eat, there are good calories and bad calories, but this “what do I eat” can’t consume your life.

If all we think about is what we can or can’t eat for the next meal everyday, I can guarantee that you won’t stick to your diet.

The best thing here is to make this not about being on a diet, but about a new way of living your life. Picking your next meal needs to become a natural thing, not something you agonize over.

One of the best tricks you can do to help, is to eat smaller meals more often, so that your not hungry anytime during the day. This way your not thinking about food as often and there are many benefits to eating up to six meals per day.

Just think lifestyle change, NOT diets!

Losing Weight is a Mindset

I hate the word diet because right away it sends the mind into a negative place. Diets to most people mean depriving yourself something you like, so right away you start out in a negative place.

I would rather use terms like lifestyle change, when talking about losing weight, because what you eat is just one part of how you look and feel.

When it comes to the eating part, while we do need to change what and how we eat, we don’t need to starve ourselves, nor deprive ourselves total from our favorite foods. The trick as I mentioned in an earlier post is to eat more often and in smaller portions.

When most people think about exercise, again the mind envisions things that are not pleasant and we once again start out in a negative place.

At first what we should be doing is figuring out ways that we can get exercise just by changing things in our daily activities. Again a good example would be taking stairs instead of the elevator.

These little things become a normal part of our lives and therefore we have made a lifestyle change, and have tricked our minds by not really starting a formalized diet plan.

Once we do these two small easy changes, and we start to see results then our mindset is in a more positive place when we decide to kick it up a notch.
